Thoughtful
digital products
built for real life.

Pixel Street Media is a Houston-based studio building React Native mobile apps, websites, and digital products — one team, end to end, from the first sketch to the last line of code.

An independent studio, built around the work.

Pixel Street Media takes on a small number of projects so each one gets real attention — designed and built by the same hands, so nothing gets lost in the handoff between "designed" and "shipped."

Apps, websites, and the systems underneath, handled as one piece — along with the brand, illustration, and print work that ties it together.

The deliverables.

Most projects pull from more than one of these. With one studio handling all of it, the seams disappear.

01 / Outcome

A product people understand

Interfaces and flows that make sense the first time — so you're not writing a manual or fielding a stream of confused support emails.

02 / Outcome

An app that holds up

Mobile apps that stay fast and stable as they grow — built to be maintained, not rebuilt from scratch in a year. One build covers both iOS and Android, so you're not paying for two.

03 / Outcome

A site that feels fast

Responsive front ends that load quickly and work everywhere, with no rough edges on the way to done.

04 / Outcome

A brand that matches the product

Identity and interface designed together — including custom illustration, maps, and print — so what you ship looks like what you promised.

05 / Outcome

Less busywork

Software that does the tedious parts for people — reading documents instead of making them retype, sorting information into the right place, and handling the repetitive steps automatically. Used where it genuinely saves time, not for its own sake.

— Note

Technology should reduce friction, not create more of it.

Common questions.

Where is Pixel Street Media located?

Pixel Street Media is based in Houston, TX and works with clients locally and across the United States.

What type of apps does Pixel Street Media build?

The studio specializes in React Native mobile apps for iOS and Android — one codebase, two platforms. The current flagship product is LifeVault™, built with React Native, TypeScript, and Expo.

Do you work with startups and early-stage founders?

Yes. The studio has helped founders go from concept to working product — covering strategy, UX design, and full-stack development including React Native, Node.js, and MongoDB. Projects start with a scoping conversation to make sure the fit is right.

Can one studio really handle design and development together?

Yes — that is the core premise of Pixel Street Media. One studio handles UX design, visual design, front-end engineering, and back-end development so nothing gets lost between teams. The same person who designs it builds it.

How much does it cost to build a mobile app?

Mobile app development projects start at $25,000 for a full software build using React Native for iOS and Android. Websites start at $5,000. Every project is scoped individually — contact the studio to discuss your specific requirements.

What is LifeVault?

LifeVault™ is a privacy-focused iOS app built by Pixel Street Media. It helps families organize important records, documents, and emergency information in one structured, searchable system. Built with React Native, TypeScript, and Expo — available at lifevaultapp.com.

What is the difference between React Native and Flutter?

React Native uses JavaScript and TypeScript — the same language stack as most web projects — making it easier to share code and find developers. Flutter uses Dart. Pixel Street Media specializes in React Native for cross-platform iOS and Android development.

How do I start a project?

Use the contact form on this page or email rachel@pixelstreetmedia.com. Describe what you are building and what stage it is at — a scoping conversation follows from there.
